Ordinary Buy Signal

Criticism that Dow Theory is too late becomes valid when investors use only the typical buy signal and ignore other Dow Theory tools. The ordinary buy signal normally requires a rally, a pullback, and then a breakout confirming an upward trend. Using only the ordinary buy signal can make a Dow Theory entry unnecessarily late.
