Homogeneous Arrays

A homogeneous array contains elements of a single type throughout. An inhomogeneous array mixes multiple data types in one Python list. Homogeneous arrays are required for the performance advantages used by NumPy and quantitative finance libraries. Mixed-type Python lists prevent optimized computation paths.
