Confirmation Requirement

Dow Theory last-resort signals require joint confirmation from the Dow Industrials and Dow Transports. A break by only one Dow average does not create a confirmed Dow Theory signal. For the last-resort buy signal, the Dow Industrials and Dow Transports must jointly break upward through the relevant highs.
