Alternative Method Frequency

The alternative method occurs around 10% of the time in Dow Theory for the 21st century. When the normal setup fails to appear, attention shifts to the highs of the last completed secondary reaction. The alternative method is used when the market does not provide the usual pullback and breakout setup.
